Little Falls, N.J.-based Cantel Medical Corporation has named David C. Hemink as the new president of its Medivators Division, and has also promoted Michael G. Spicer to president, Americas sales and global service. Hemink will join Medivators on July 6 and will have accountability for the world-wide Medivators endoscopy business. Spicer will be accountable for endoscopy sales in North America, Cantel’s global service business, and will oversee sales for all Cantel divisions in Latin America.
Hemink has been in global leadership positions with increasing responsibility within the healthcare and medical device industry for more than 20 years. Most recently he was senior vice president and president of electrophysiology at Boston Scientific. Prior to that, he served as president of Bard Access Systems. Hemink has a strong background in general management, strategy creation, new product development, global market development and organizational structure and design. He has an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. from California State University at Fresno.
Spicer joined Cantel Medical in October 2013 as senior vice president of sales and service, Medivators endoscopy. His promotion to president, Americas sales and global service is a testament to his great success growing the endoscopy business over the past two years and reorganizing the United States endoscopy sales and service team. Prior to joining Cantel, Spicer held senior commercial positions at Smith & Nephew and Boston Scientific. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Middle Tennessee State University.
“We are very pleased to be able to attract such high quality people to strengthen our executive team and structure,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Jorgen Hansen. “With their extensive experience and prior successes, we expect Dave and Mike will each play a major role in the planning and implementation of the growth of Cantel.”
