Vital Connect Inc. has made several new additions to its executive team, including a new chief operating officer (COO). Company growth in Europe and developing partnerships in key markets fueled the expansion, bigwigs said.
Formerly chief architect for Vital Connect, Toai Doan has taken over the role of COO for the company. The former vice president of engineering at Marvell Semiconductor, Doan brings more than 25 years of semiconductor product development experience, with a focus on data storage and data communications, to the Vital Connect team.
Bill Brodie has been selected as senior vice president of Sales and Business Development. Brodie has more than 20 years of experience leading sales teams and has a background in the medical device industry. He was previously the global vice president of Sales and Marketing for the startup Myoscience, where he built and led all commercial operations, including sales, clinical education, product marketing, marketing communications, customer service and product support for two different brands.
Michael Dillhyon has been selected as president of Vital Connect Europe. A seasoned entrepreneur with an extensive background in healthcare, Dillhyon has launched companies in the United States and Europe. Prior to his new role, Dillhyon was the founder and CEO of Geneva-based healthbank, a citizen-owned, global open health data cooperative. He also is a general partner with Rollspeed, a Swiss-based investment fund.
Eric Selvik and Allison Herd also have accepted positions on the Vital Connect executive team. Selvik will be taking on the role of vice president of Strategic Marketing, and Herd is the new vice president of Human Resources.
Selvik brings 18 years of technical marketing experience in the medical device, telecommunications, and semiconductor industries. Most recently, Selvik worked at ArthroCare Corporation, where he pioneered and launched a new business in hip arthroscopy for the company, and brought to market several new minimally invasive surgical products for shoulder, knee, and hip. Previously, Herd served as senior director of Human Resources at Layered Technologies Inc. and head of human resources at Barracuda Networks Inc., where she grew the company from its startup phase to more than 900 employees internationally.
“This is an exciting time for Vital Connect,” said CEO Nersi Nazari. “We recently announced several new partnerships and will be unveiling more news about how HealthPatch MD is revolutionizing the healthcare industry over the coming months. The new additions to our team will help drive the growth and success we are currently experiencing even further, and I look forward to the impact their contributions will make.”
