The Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) has recruited Karen A. Noonan as vice president of Global Regulatory Policy.
Noonan most recently served as senior advisor for Health Policy at Onyx Pharmaceuticals and previously was director of State Government Affairs and Grassroots Advocacy at the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
“We welcome Karen to the ACRO team and are confident she will continue to build our relationships with regulators and alliance partners in the United States, Europe and around the globe,” said ACRO Executive Director Doug Peddicord, Ph.D. “We see a tremendous opportunity for CROs to take a more pro-active position in regulatory policy as our members play an increasingly important role in medical product development.”
ACRO also announced that John Lewis will serve as senior vice president, Policy and Public Affairs. For the past five years, Lewis was vice president of Public Affairs with the association.
The Association of Clinical Research Organizations represents companies that provide various specialized services supporting the development of new pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices.
