Xeridiem has expanded the leadership team with the appointment of Shubroto Chattopadhyay as senior business development and marketing director, reporting to the firm's president, Joseph Lee. Chattopadhyay comes to Xeridiem from the Medical Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corp., where he served as market manager and marketing communications manager since 2001.
“Shubroto brings over 30 years of healthcare-industry experience and an in-depth understanding of new product innovation,” said Lee. “He adds to our core strength in the design and delivery of highly competitive and robust medical devices.”
Having worked in the past with Vesta Inc. and Parker Hannifin for a combined total of 25 years, Chattopadhyay brings to Xeridiem extensive hands-on business development experience in clean-room contract manufacturing of value-added liquid injection molded (LIM) medical silicone components, medical grade extrusion, medical device assemblies and fully fabricated silicone medical catheters.
In addition, he brings wide-ranging experiences with related medical devices used in the bariatric, cardiovascular, diabetes care, dialysis, drug infusion, enteral feeding, nephrology, respiratory, urology, wound management and related market segments. Chattobadhyay also has been a LIM market development specialist for GE Silicone Products Division and healthcare market manager and regional sales manager for Wacker Silicones, has a strong background in medical-grade silicone materials.
Chattobadhyay received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Science in organic chemistry from Old Dominion University. Additionally, he pursued graduate level studies and research in chemistry at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
