Nelipak Healthcare Packaging has made some important staffing changes at the top.
The Cranston, R.I.-based firm named Michael Kelly CEO and president, and Paul Hogan has been appointed chief financial officer (CFO).
According company officials, the appointments follow a plan developed for the business "ensuring the seamless continuity" of Nelipak’s growth as a packaging supplier to the healthcare market. Nelipak Healthcare Packaging was formed following the acquisition in December 2013 by Chicago, Ill.-based private equity firm Mason Wells of Sealed Air Corp.'s rigid medical packaging business.
Kelly comes to Nelipak from Braintree, Mass.-based based Haemonetics where he was president of Global Markets. Prior to Haemonetics, he spent approximately 20 years with Baxter Healthcare, Cardinal Health and CareFusion in leadership roles across various healthcare product divisions including medical devices and converted products. Kelly has a B.S. in business administration and an MBA from Ohio State University.
Hogan previously was with the Clondalkin Group, a global pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging company headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He spent the last 20 years with the company in various roles including the CFO of the North American operations. During his tenure, he led the North American finance function with responsibility for all financial areas of the group's multi-site operations including financial reporting, treasury, banking relations, audit, taxation, benefits and risk management. Hogan has a B.S. in business studies from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and a master's degree in accounting from University College Dublin.
With facilities in Rhode Island; Venray, the Netherlands; Galway, Ireland; and San Jose, Costa Rica, Nelipak Healthcare Packaging designs and manufactures custom thermoformed packaging products for medical devices and pharmaceuticals. The company offers medical trays and blisters, surgical procedure trays, pharmaceutical handling trays, and custom-built sealing machines.
