The beginning of the year marked a change for Roush Life Sciences, a division of Roush Enterprises. The company was purchased by Thomas Taylor, who was president of Roush Life Sciences, and renamed Foxx Life Sciences. The products, patents, trademarks, equipment, tooling, and the majority of the employees remain the same, according the company, which remains based just outside of Boston, Mass., in Salem, N.H.
Foxx Life Sciences provides engineering services and OEM proprietary products to leading research and distribution companies for a wide variety of applications.
In 2009, the company (as Roush Life Sciences) launched Autofil, a patented next generation bottle top filtration system. This product line, according to the company, includes a wide variety of vacuum filtration devices (15ml, 50ml, 250ml, 500ml, and 1000ml). In 2011, EZGrip carboys were launched with a wide variety of new features and benefits for fluid management including the unique VersaCap technology. From 2012 to 2013, the company launched disposable research products including flasks and vented flasks, heavy-duty vacuum bottles, media bottles, 75-liter carboy, and the new 0.1 um vacuum filtration.
“We are very excited about the new company and the opportunities ahead with our global distribution channels. We continue to focus on new products with the launch of the EZ waste HPLC (high-pressure liquid chromatograph) closed-loop waste management system and a new solvent filtration product in 2014,” said Taylor, president and CEO of the new Foxx Life Sciences.
According to Taylor, the acquisition will enable the newly rebranded firm to increase its activities in the rapidly expanding market for innovative research, biotech and pharmaceutical products.
