Medical device manufacturers, R&D engineers and supply chain folks can’t always control moving deadlines or shifting schedules for customer jobs. Sometimes they need medical wire and hypotubing overnight. To meet customer demands, Franklin, Mass.-based Tegra Medical, has opened a new e-commerce store for its Quick Wire and Tubing group.
If customers click or call by 1:00 p.m., Eastern time, Tegra Medical is able to ship the wire and tubing from 1 million feet of in-stock products.
“For many years, Tegra Medical’s Quick Wire and Tubing group has been meeting the needs of device makers, researchers, and others who need fast shipments of wire and hypotubing," said Mark King, president and CEO. "We’re pleased to now be able to offer a convenient online ordering option to augment our traditional phone and fax support.”
Tegra's Quick Wire and Tubing e-store offers various gauges of hypotubing, standard- or vacuum-melt stainless steel wire, nitinol wire, and PTFE- or Parylene N-coated wire. Customers who need custom services, such as abrasive, electrochemical and precision shear cutting, grit blasting, centerless grinding, end treatments, custom mandrels, coating and other finishing options can contact the company for these services, which usually take a few more days.
Tegra Medical provides precision machining, molding, assembly and contract manufacturing services for the medical device industry.
The company's markets include orthopedics (arthroscopy, spine, interventional spine, trauma, and joint and dental reconstruction);
minimally-invasive surgery (breast biopsy, laparoscopy, endoscopy, soft tissue repair, cardiovascular, gynecology, and interventional spine); interventional therapies (radiology, cardiology, neurology, peripheral vascular therapy and electrophysiology); and other medical areas (diabetes, drug delivery, opthalmology and dental that require a high level of precision).
