Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, a contract design and manufacturing services provider for the orthopedic, dental and cardiovascular markets, has made two recent executive promotions.
The Holt, Mich.-based company has promoted Joe Zuzula to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. He previously had been director of sales and marketing. Zuzula has been with the company for 19 years in various roles.
In a release, company officials noted: "Joe embodies the spirit of what our company represents. He has demonstrated an uncanny ability to manage a sales and marketing staff and to drive the sales throughout Orchid. Joe carefully keeps our sales staff both motivated and accountable while cultivating strong relationships with customers and media partners."
Zuzula graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Physical Science Secondary Education with a minor in Mathematics.
Bill Ditty was elevated to the position of vice president of quality and regulatory compliance. Ditty's previous role was as director of quality.
"He has successfully led our company through the new FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) registration requirements. With a broad base of experience at companies such as Monteris Medical and Stryker Instruments, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team," the release noted.
Ditty spent eight years as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. He has an MBA in Finance and a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Orchid has locations throughout Michigan, as well as facilities in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Oregon, Tennessee, and Sheffield, in the United Kingdom.
