Cambridge Consultants recently named Dan L’Ecuyer as commercial director of Drug Delivery Devices. L’Ecuyer will be based out of the company’s U.S. headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. He was hired as part of a “major U.S. recruitment effort” that Cambridge Consultants has undertaken to identify and attract new talent in the medical technology arena with the goal of doubling the number of employees in the next four years, according to a company spokesman.
L’Ecuyer’s has background in global device manufacturing with a focus in the areas of diabetes and asthma treatment.
In his new role, he will provide product development solutions to clients in the drug delivery marketplace, taking advantage of multi-disciplinary teams combining human factors engineering, industrial design, mechanical, electrical and software engineering, analytical sciences and industrialization expertise. He is the company’s first U.S.-based resource to be solely focused on this industry.
Prior to joining Cambridge Consultants, L’Ecuyer served as vice president of Sales and Marketing at CSP Technologies and in a number
of sales and business development leadership positions at Nypro Inc., where he gained international business development experience and created lasting growth in medical device manufacturing. Earlier in his career, Dan worked as a product manager for a spin-off of Parametric Technologies Corporation.
According to the company, L’Ecuyer’s areas of specialization include: drug delivery device business development; brand strategy; supply chain management; contract negotiation; key account management; and product development and manufacturing.
