Pharmaceutical Bioreactor Processing Equipment
Omniseal Solutions™ successfully completed a project in the pharmaceutical industry, providing customized sealing solutions for bioreactor processing equipment. The biggest challenge? Ensuring the seals could withstand the harsh chemical environment and high temperatures involved in the manufacturing process. Through close collaboration with the customer, Omniseal Solutions™ design engineered and manufactured precision, rotary lip seals that met these specific requirements, resulting in improved equipment performance, reduced downtime, and increased product yield.
Omniseal® polymer lip seals are specifically designed for demanding oscillatory/rotational conditions and cleaning/disinfection procedures. Leakage, contamination, wear, and friction control are daily challenges that are consistently taken care of by these seals, which meet stringent industry guidelines: NBF/GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), CIP (Clean in Place), and SIP (Sterilization in Place) processes. Additionally, Omniseal Solutions™ offers a wide variety of FDA and Class VI certified materials for the required biocompatibility. Without this technology advantage, sealing function will be unreliable, causing major production losses. Aside from rotary shaft seals, Omniseal Solutions’ Rulon® bearings are also used in bioreactor impeller shafts, providing lubricity and low wear against stainless steel materials and cleaning agents.
